What inspired you to pursue a career in childcare education, and what keeps you passionate about it today?
I’ve always had a deep love for working with children and helping them learn and grow. Seeing the joy in their faces when they achieve something new or gain confidence in themselves is incredibly rewarding.
Every day in childcare is different, and that keeps me motivated—whether it’s celebrating milestones, fostering curiosity, or simply being a comforting presence in their day.
How would you describe your approach to creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive?
I believe in fostering a warm, inclusive, and supportive space where children feel safe to express themselves and explore the world around them. I focus on building strong, trusting relationships with each child and their families, ensuring they feel valued and understood.
Encouraging play-based learning, supporting emotional development, and embracing each child’s unique interests and cultural background are all key parts of my approach.

Can you share a memorable moment from your time at Piptree?
One moment that stands out was when a child who struggled with speaking English began confidently communicating with peers and educators. Watching their journey from frustration to excitement as they learned new words and formed friendships was so rewarding.
Seeing children develop not just academically but also socially and emotionally is the best part of this job.
What do you believe sets Piptree apart in terms of the experience you provide for both children and parents?
Piptree isn’t just about learning—it’s about belonging. We go beyond just meeting basic needs; we focus on making every child and family feel like part of a close-knit community. We respect different cultures, communicate openly with families, and ensure children are supported in all aspects of their development.
It’s this holistic and family-centered approach that makes Piptree a standout place to learn and grow.
We respectfully acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we live and work – the Yuggera, Turrbal and Jagera people. We pay respects to elders past, present & future.
